Beginning Again

Reflection #29 It is Enough

These days I look back
with a quieter mind,
with curiosity and wonder.

What have I made of my life?
What paths have I walked?

Once, I had grand blueprints—
dreams of doing something notable,
to be a voice calling in the wilderness,
to set some small corner of the world aright.

But life,
with its gentle humor
and amazing grace,
had its own way.

Those dreams once shining, shifted
the voice in my head softened

dimming beneath the warm light
of what truly matters.

What matters now
are the moments to give
what my hands and heart can offer,
and finding quiet contentment
of knowing it is enough.
