Reflection #14 – Outlook on Aging

Aging begins in the spirit,
our outlook shaping our path—
how we feel,
how we heal,
how we rise to meet the day.

With models of vitality before us—
elders who dance, who laugh,
who move with grace

with their tender, fragile, changing
miraculous bodies.

Extending compassion—
Not pity,
but presence.  
Not advice,
but quiet company.

To age with intention
is to know we belong to one another.
To walk together gently
through days of joy…moments of need—
with hearts open,
and hands ready
to hold.
