Spiritworks Reflections Feedback
Dear Reader, Thank you for your thoughtful feedback on “Beginning Again” Reflections I’m finding that you appreciate the free verse style that makes them a quick read. Here are your emails from the past few weeks.
Although I answer all reflections from readers, I rarely let you know what I responded. This time I do. You’ll read my response below. Warmly, Tricia

Reflection #14 Outlook on Aging
Meant to tell you that I appreciated your Reflection #14, Trish... it speaks to all of us our age these days! (Deb Krysty forwarded it to me, but of course I already had it!) Love this Tricia! -E
Hope you, Dale, Bear, and all the family are well! - D
What can i say about Reflection #14 Outlook of aging, For me this reflection i take it like aging with purpose. Aging is eye opener of human nature to be able to come into full senses. Most important factor is having sense of humor. Indeed, physical aspect slowing down more mind mature at least but the problem we are facing nowadays is lack of discipline with right intentions which causes regrets later which cannot reversed .
I agree with you this paragraph of how age with intention is to know we belong to one another, to walk together gently through days of joy, moments of need with open hearts and hands ready to hold on. – O (from Rwanda)
Refection #16 People in My Life

I thought I recognized those words. Does Buddhism have any parallels w/ Christianity? – D
Hi D, Your’s is a good question to ask. There are both similarities and differences between the two philosophies for life. Both emphasize compassion and ethical living, nonviolence, both use parables as teachings, and inner well-being and detachments from material goods. Both have monastic traditions. I am guessing you know the parables of Jesus, so you might want to do some reading of Buddhist story-telling that teach the same lessons. Thanks again for asking. Warmly, Tricia Rev. Dr. Patricia D.
