Halloween Fun(guy)

In mid-October I got slammed with a gnarly chest cold and spent four days in bed. My brain was slime mold so all I could manage was to marathon my favorite Halloween movies (looking at you, 1993 Hocus Pocus) and do handcrafts.

So, naturally, I hand sewed my entire Halloween costume.

I made the frame out of boxes I fished out of the recycling bin behind our apartment building, and used a combination of tape, glue, thread, and audacity to stick everything together.

This Halloween costume was extremely on-brand. For fun(gi), here’s a selection of a few of the various mushroom-themed things I’ve made in the past few years:
