π Tools to help you keep growing in your tech career
Hello Hello!
This week I'm bringing two links to help with your tech career planning and one to an event (which is about to happen π).
Sometimes students and coworkers come to me asking how they can progress in their tech careers. Are they intermediate developers? Senior? Junior? What do these terms actually mean?
This matrix tries to answer this question by qualifying what each one of these terms mean across multiple categories. I recommend that you check where you are and become aware of what you should do to move to the next level in the career game.
We have used a similar matrix in the company that I work for so that we can make it clear how our dev team can keep progressing their careers and growing within the organization. If you have been my student, I take time during the first class to talk about the importance of developing a good relationship with the learning process.
It's clichΓ© but true that the tech space changes too much too often. If you don't start to develop a liking for learning, you will face major difficulties in your tech career.
This article provides various tools to help with your learning. Truly a gem. I will be talking more about this over time.Who Wants to Learn TypeScript Today?
Do you want to get to know a bit about TypeScript? What's the big deal with it? What's the difference between JavaScript and TypeScript?
This live event is happening today (Aug 25) @ 11am EST - I'm sure there will be a recording in case you are checking this later.
My personal update:
Still testing positive today (Aug 25) for COVID π€ after 10 days. Sick and tired of being home, but having to practice patience. On the flip side, my home has never being this clean β¨
If I test negative on Saturday, I'm planning to take the kids to the CN Tower and to the Fan Expo.
Cheers, hasta la vista, and bye!
