Today I bring to you Programming in the era of AI, being curious, and running AI on your laptop.
The Future of Programming
🤖 Imagine stepping into a world where your thoughts directly translate into code, where the meticulous craft of programming becomes as intuitive as speaking your native language.
Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, is painting a future where AI's mastery over coding could turn the traditional trials of debugging and algorithm unraveling into mere echoes of the past. As generative AI takes center stage, the essence of software development is being reshaped, promising a new dawn where creativity and problem-solving reign supreme.
Huang's bold predictions suggest a paradigm shift, where understanding coding fundamentals remains crucial, but the act of coding itself becomes an augmented, more intuitive process, guided by the intelligence of AI.Hack Your Focus with Smart Curiosity!
🧠 Ever find your mind wandering off when you're trying to focus on something important? Anne-Laure Le Cunff's piece on "Intentional Curiosity" is here to help.
She unravels the complex dance between our brain's desire to explore every new notification and our need to concentrate on the task at hand.
By diving into the neuroscience behind attention, Le Cunff shows how we can harness our curiosity to keep our focus sharp and directed towards what truly matters, turning potential distractions into opportunities for deeper engagement.Running AI from your computer with
💻 Did you know that you don't need ChatGPT online to run AI? Do you know you can run it locally with Ollama?
A friend of mine just introduced me to Ollama yesterday. With that you can run AI from your computer and experiment. Here is how you can do it.
Personal Updates:
🍁 Writing this from Ottawa. Great to be with friends!
📖 Just finished reading this book "Death Is a Day Worth Living" recommended by my Ottawa friend. A book written by a medical professional specialized in Palliative Care (caring for people close to death). Not spending time with friends/family is one of the biggest regrets of people at the end of their lives.
“There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship." – Thomas Aquinas
Cheers, hasta la vista and have a great long weekend!
