📚 Learning How To Learn
Hello Hello!
"How did the developer become so poor? They run out of cache" 🤣
Today I don't bring any tech in particular, but a bit of learning, an event and some inspiration. Enjoy!
This is not about tech, but about learning, which we are constantly doing in the tech space if we want to progress. 👨🎓👩🎓
I came across Barbara Oakley a few years ago recommended by a good friend. I took her course called "Learning How to Learn" and became a fan.
Tech is a very fast paced industry (the fastest) and if you don't know good learning strategies, it will be very hard for you to keep up. Today I'm sharing a TEDx talk by Barbara and a link to her book.
If you want to develop better learning strategies, you should check it out. It is not as complicated as you may think.
This is an annual conference for developers and IT professionals hosted by Microsoft.
The conference will happen in-person and online from October 12-14. It is free to attend it online. 🎫 The event consists of presentations, sessions and hands-on labs. It offers opportunities to meet Microsoft experts, MVPs and community members.
There is something there for every area of interest that you may have.
Here is a little inspiration for our busy lives. Whether you admire him or not, there is no question about the impact Steve Jobs had in the tech and our lives. 💡
This is a small collection of his most famous thoughts and quotes.
My personal update:
🤳 As promised, here is the 80's themed party photo I took last weekend.
👩🏫 I have been able to keep up with the teaching course I'm taking. I'm going through it 30 minutes a day. Slow, but steady.
🎂 Yesterday was my older daughter's 17th birthday. Today I will be driving her and her friends to downtown Toronto. I will basically be an Uber driver 🚖.
Cheers, hasta la vista, and bye!
