🏛️ Tech Bank Collapsing
Hello Hello!

Because they couldn’t find a table."

Today I bring to you booking hotels with ChatGPT, a bank going bankrupted, and how to create good Pull Requests.
🤖 At this point you should know about the power of ChatGPT. But most likely you haven't tried to include it in an app.
This blog post will show you step by step how to use ChatGPT with an application. It will walk you through how to make a hotel booking prompt.
Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) Collapses
📉 You might be asking why I'm bringing a news article that has more to do with finances than tech. This is super related to tech.
This past Friday it became news that SVB went under. This bank is the most popular bank used by start ups in North America. Companies that have accounts with SVB may not be able to access their funds, and among other things, pay their employees.
Even the company I work for will be impacted a little bit (they are not the only bank we use, thank God).
It is too early to see the full ramifications of this. Maybe there won't be many. Maybe next week the US government will save them. Maybe they will be bought buy another major bank. But right now I'm sure there are a lot of start up employees having a hard time to sleep.
If you do a quick search on Google you will find a lot of articles about this.
Again, this will unfold a lot more this coming week. We shall see.
Creating a good Pull Request (PR)
✊ Nowadays, one of the many tasks as part of our coding jobs is creating pull requests.
For the ones that are not sure what a PR is, it is when you are done with your coding for a particular task that you have been assigned, and now you submit your code for review by the team to be accepted into the main coding repository.
This article will show you what to do to create a good PR. I think this is good for job interviews too, so you can demonstrate you know how to write your PRs well.
My personal update:
⛰️ Last week I was in Blue Mountain with my Kids and as such I skipped this newsletter. We had a great time. Fluffy snow, good food, good company. 3 years ago we were also in Blue Mountain when the Pandemic Lockdown started. "Good" memories.
📅 Tomorrow, March 13, is my 21st anniversary of moving to Canada. I love Canada, Toronto and I call it "home".
👶 This week is March Break for my kids and they are driving me nuts. I have to see what to do with them today to keep them busy. Most likely visiting the Aquarium.
