Hello Hello!
"How does a computer learn new things?
Bit by bit."

Today I bring to you a new programming language, Git, and databases.
Carbo Programming Language
🆕 When is it too early to get involved with a new technology? It is a hard question to answer. It depends on what type of adopter you are.
Here it is a new experimental programming language for you to explore. Its ambition is to solve problems that C++ has. It was first introduced in 2022 during a conference here in Toronto.
Maybe it will go nowhere. Maybe it will be the next big thing. Who knows. Worth exploring if you are willing to be an early adopter.📃 These days, every coder should be familiar and fluent with Git. Source control and code collaboration are skills necessary regardless which language and technology stack you are working with.
In this article you will get 9 straightforward tips about how to effectively use Git.☣️ No, we are not talking about toxic materials. We are talking about database properties. In computer science, ACID (atomicity, consistency, isolation, durability) is a set of properties of database transactions intended to guarantee data validity despite errors, power failures, and other problems.
This video talks about transactions and what does it mean for a database to be ACID compliant. This is great database information to have an idea about.
Personal Updates:
👧 My older daughter started working this week at HomeSense. She also just started taking the train to Toronto to go to university. So many new things for her. She is tired already. She said: "It feels like I don't have time for me" - Welcome to being an adult.
👷 I'm starting the new job on Monday - It is remote mostly, but I will be there in person this Monday and Tuesday. I will take the train. The office is very close to Union Station. Excited and nervous, I admit.
🍎 For the new job, they give me the option to choose between a Windows Laptop or a MacBook. I always had Windows laptops. This time I decided to get out of my confirm zone and I picked a MacBook. It will force me to learn new things. I think it is a useful muscle to exercise: Exposing yourself to small challenges.
