π Work Opportunities
Hello Hello!
"0, 1, 2, 3... Real programmers count from 0."

Today I bring to you a job opportunity, help to code, and blogging as a way to boost your career.
π This week I got an email from a professor looking for students to help with a project. She pointed me to hire.centennialcollege.ca, which I wasn't aware.
They are looking for students with UI/UX knowledge. If you are not on the site, just sign up for an account. The job ID is #87512 - Aerialytic- Student research. Once you are logged in, just look for it.
Read the requirements and apply if you have some of the skills required. You don't have to have ALL of them.
BTW, I think this is only available for current students from Centennial.π₯ Pair programming is a very powerful tool used by companies and developers. It is a way to have 2 sets of eyes working on the same problem.
It might also be done as a learning tool, when a more and a less experience developer come together to work. This way the less experienced one will benefit from following first-hand how the veteran thinks through a problem.
What if you could pair program with ChatGPT? This is the real power of AI. Not copying code, but learning and building things together.
This article will show how a dev used ChatGPT to build something together. You can apply the same thought process to your projects and have ChatGPT as your learning assistant.
BTW, I'm looking to incorporate more of ChatGPT in my courses next semester. If you have any thoughts of how you think we could use AI in class, just hit reply. I'm sure you have used on some projects already, haven't you? π€«
Writing is a Game-Changer for Devs
βοΈ Whenever I see this kind of blog, I jump in. I know you can revolutionize your career if you blog and here is yet another article about someone showing what they have done and achieve with writing and how you could do as well.Yes, I sound like a broken record. I will never stop promoting the benefits of putting yourself out there.
Read this article and just try one of the many things it talks about.
My personal update:
πͺ I bought a stand-up desk about a year ago, but never used it. Started using it in 3 months ago. Now I only teach standing up and half of my day goes standing. I didn't think I would get used to it. I'm writing this email standing. I have less back pain now. I have some back issues. I recommend to anyone. Doesn't have to be the electric ones. I have a manual one that I have to crank up.
π΄ I went to my first bike ride of the season.Β A 10K trail around the neighbourhood. Simple but it was great to enjoy good weather and to connect with my younger daughter.
π― This coming week is the last one of the semester. I wish all the best to my students with their busy final test week.Β
