πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ“οΈ All about learning to code

Hello Hello!

"What is an algorithm?
- A word used by programmers when they don’t want to explain what they did."

🀣 source: SEO Chatter

Today is all about learning. I bring to you an AI tool to find a course path, algorithms, and a site that will teach you a lot of web technologies.

  1. Course Path Finder

πŸŽ“ This is a tool that I came across just this week. We want to learn new things but with access to unlimited content on the internet, it's hard to find the right path.

This CourseFinder app takes input from you & suggests the best courses available. The best part is once you review the results, you can enter the timeframe you've to spend on it & it suggests a tailored path for the timeframe.

Give it a try. Type "C#" and see what it recommends.

  2. Algorithms Courses

πŸŽ’ Do you feel that you are no good at algorithms? Lots of coding interviews will ask you about algorithms.

Dive into the fascinating realm of algorithms with this comprehensive guide! Whether you're a beginner or an experienced coder, this page offers an extensive list of resources to enhance your understanding and skills in algorithms.

I would love to take some of them. I need to brush up.

  3. The Valley of Code

⛰️ The Valley of Code is a website whose goal is to help you become a Web Developer.  The vision for The Valley of Code is to be a website you can always reference and use as β€œthe place where you go learn quickly how to do X” in your day-to-day life as a developer.

It’s composed of 2 parts. A free version (which has A LOT) and a pro, paid version. Both versions are continuously maintained and improved.

Very good material to learn the basic technical components of the web.

Personal Updates:

  • 🏁 This week is the final week at the college. Good luck to my students of COMP100. See you in COMP123 during the winter semester.

  • ⛸️ I went yesterday to a presentation of Cirque Du Soleil called "Crystal" - I love to go to this kind of event during the holiday season. Beautiful presentation on ice.

  • 🧘 I'm a "people-pleaser". My boss is not. He is not afraid of conflict nor to sound aggressive. This week I discussed this with him. It is great to have a manager that you can learn from. I don't want to change myself, but I want to be more comfortable with tough situations at work where I'm not able to please everyone involved.
