Updates and I'm Moving
Hi!
I have decided to move out of my apartment and look for a new place to live. I’ve been living in my current spot for the past 3 years, and it’s been amazing, but definitely time for a change. Because it’s also been hard and generally been a fairly chaotic place. Perhaps the chaos has always been in my heart, but as I continue to return to my grounded place it becomes increasingly clear I am now a fish out of water.
I would love to remain in Ridgewood. But also something makes me feel open to places like “Brooklyn,” “upstate New York,” or even back to “Oakland, CA” where there apparently are affordable apartments.
There is a lot of travel this year. This Monday I fly to Neurnberg to speak at the Libre Graphics Meeting. In May I head to Utrecht to speak at Rust Week NL. Then in July I’m heading back to Germany to attend DWebcamp.
In September I head to Linz, Austria to celebrate Processing Foundation’s 25th anniversary at Ars Electronica.
Gosh is there a Taiwan trip? This is honestly a lot.
If you hear of any apartments please let me know. I want to live alone, and I just want to be able to have a quiet calm and chill place to live. I love cooking, closing my eyes and letting the sun fall upon my skin, playing music, sitting quietly and letting life unfold around me. I need a sanctuary. Full of plants, life, water, and quiet. I want to run the blender at 5-6 or even 7am.
Is there a queer utopia in the Catskills? Let me know. Even just for 4-6 months. What an idea. My life has always meant to be a poem.
Anyhoo. My bike is getting a much needed tune up after sitting out in the snow all winter, and I’m excited to ride all over the city early in the morning and late at night. I want to be drenched in sweat and I want the real ones to smell deeply and appreciate how drippy their pussy gets when doing so.
Wait Asheville?? No no no no no no no
Reading Updates:
Beautyland
When I cannot sleep because of all the anxiety from my job, I turn on dim lights and read it. It brings me to tears over and over again and I finally sleep. I don’t know why I am loving this book.
The Dawn of Everything: A New History of Humanity
You know the one. I’ve owned this since 2021 (according to the receipt in the book) and I’m finally reading it. It is really good and I am going to finish this thing. It’s mind blowing.
