A mostly Zines-focused newsletter

An SFZF T.Y.

Thank you for those of you who came out to SF Zine Fest this year! It was a lovely fest, as always. And it was nice to be in a cool, chill corner this year. Check out my neighbors’ stuff: Alyssa Ragni’s riso comics and V. Vale’s RE/Search Publications.

Visit My Virtual Table @ BAQZF

For those of you who are far away from my regional zine fest adventures, I am tabling virtually with Bay Area Queer Zine Fest this year from now til Sep 14th!

Check out the 50+ virtual tablers this year on the BAQZF website, or find highlights on their Instagram.

Here is a selection of my wares.

As I say to people walking by my table, feel free to pick anything up and take a look! ;)

Including this debut mini-diary comics collection. The Heatwave zine collects a diary comic about the heatwave, the comic about Wini my snarky air purifier during wildfire season, and a comic about collective care — and a resource list because you know I love giving yall links.

Local Zine Fests, Zine Fests Everywhere!

AND if you are faraway from the zine shenanigans that I highlight, you can ALSO sleuth and find your own local show(s)! Abby Kacen has put together this public service of a map of: “Active Zine Fests, Comics + Small Press Shows, and Art Book Fairs in the U.S. and Canada”. A slightly different culture and vibe but equally worth checking out are your local anarchist book fairs! Some public libraries also have good zine collections.
