Lotsa little February things
Hi!
恭喜發財!新年快乐! Happy New Year!
This newsletter is full of a lotta little things.
1 little thing: I’ll be tabling at AZN Zine Fest in Portland on Feb 28, 2026.

2 little thing: I participated in Hourly Comics Day again this year. Read it over on Patreon.

3rd little thing: I’m starting a new series at the Wandering Grace substack about nervous system practices for our current times. I wrote an intro about how practice helps us face what is.

4th little thing: I made a mini zine to help you reflect on and create a shareable care plan for (autistic) meltdowns. It’s available as a PDF to download and print, for all free and paid patrons. (Yes, you can sign up for a free membership on Patreon. Sorry for all the patreon-side spam-mail enticing you to upgrade tho…I don’t control those and they annoy me too.)

5th little thing: I’m making one essay a month over at Patreon. For February, I’m working on a comic essay about chosen family love across generations. Become a paid patron for digital or snail mail zine versions! Last month’s photo essay was about sharing how we see the world as an important archive (and Sr. Corita Kent).

Little thing zero: ICE out now.

Some rabbitholes to resource you during all-a-this…The Fascism Barometer podcast. An Antifreeze Archive for our times. Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha on how “it’s the pettyness of the creep of fascism sometimes, mixed in with all the huge big bads and overwhelms.” Isaac Andrew Sanders on the difference between self-abandonment as survival and choosing to stay via grief and play and love: “I have orientation. Not certainty. Not resolution. Not even hope, exactly. Just direction. A way to point myself when everything else is chaos. Toward love as practice. Toward community as nervous system. Toward the small, unglamorous work of choosing presence over disappearance. Toward staying, even when staying is hard. Especially when staying is hard.”
