BREAKING ISOLATION —

The deepest need of the human heart is to overcome our separateness and leave the prison of our aloneness.

Some of us are shy by nature; we may even seem standoffish. Addiction turned many of us into loners. Even those of us who are outgoing can feel lonely in a crowd. Yet we all agree: feeling alone is wretched. God did not create us to stand apart.

Our program shows us that deep fulfillment comes from helping others. It is the warmth of being with our brothers and sisters, united in a common purpose, that reveals how cold and desolate isolation truly is. We need each other—just as we need God.
