Meditation reading for Friday February 14, 2025

We are so certain at times that we know exactly what we need and how to proceed. But that new job we want or the relationship that looks so inviting may not fit into our Higher Power’s plan for us. And at times our struggle to hang on to a person or a particular plan will only lead to frustration and failure.
Often, in retrospect, we are able to see that God had planned greater things for us than we’d imagined. We are humbled when we finally let God take charge. We find relief from the struggle of trying to control our life as the peace of God’s presence permeates our mind and body.
Accepting our powerlessness, even though it may at first feel like failure, can result in stretches of serenity we’ve never before experienced.
