Missive Statement
I read a lot—way more than I write, if you’re willing to believe such a notion.
Sometimes, I chew on something I read for weeks or months before deciding that it’s relevant to something I want to say. Other times, today’s news gets a mention in my blog (Dhole Moments).
My guiding principles for my blog are:
Everything should be evergreen. A blog post I wrote 5 years ago should be just as relevant today as it was when I pressed “Publish”.
If it’s not interesting for me to write about, it won’t be interesting to read about. So if I’m not feeling it, it will stay in Rough Draft Hell until I am, or until the end of time.
And while that’s great for making blog posts that people want to read, the downside is that a lot of interesting things go unsaid.
Missive Statement
This newsletter, Dholed Out, will serve as both a collection of interesting things I can’t fit into the topics I’m blogging about, as well as a more fun and less technical place to muse about interesting things.
What To Expect
Interesting science/technology news I’ve seen
News and discourse from the furry fandom
Projects and stuff that friends of mine are working on
100% whole groan puns
What To Not Expect
Anything NSFW
Anything appropriate for minors
“Wait, what?”
I’m not going to email y’all porn, but I might discuss some adult topics or reference news articles that cover adult themes.
Minors shouldn’t read this newsletter.
