June Swoon 2025

Indiegames
I’m still planning to play Wednesdays to share my thoughts on Ko-fi soon. There should also be a summary post of some games I enjoyed from LudoNarraCon coming up too, which includes Sub-Verge, Monster Con, and No Case Should Remain Unsolved.
Later this month you should be on the look out for some coverage I’ll be doing and insights I’ll share about Summer Games Fest. This will be locked to ko-fi supporters only, as there are some personal expenses I’ll be covering myself for that content.

Streaming
I think we’ll finally reach the credits for VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action this month! As for Persona 5 Royal, we’ll be continuing to keep it on as a pop-up Saturday stream game because I had so much fun with it in May, and I have my next session tentatively scheduled for Saturday June 14. My next Monday game after Valhalla is done will still be OMORI.
This month is also full of PR coverage games. I’ll be playing Kingdom’s Deck on Saturday June 7 at 1pm PDT, and Vampire Therapist on Saturday June 21 at 1pm PDT.
We’ll be fundraising on Juneteenth as well (Thursday June 19) at 10am PDT for The Okra Project, by playing CorpoNation: The Sorting Process. The goal is $100 and if we reach it, I’ll schedule a Last Tea Shop solo tabletop RPG stream!
Finally at the end of the month we’ll be celebrating my birthday by playing Wanderstop on Sunday, June 29 starting around 11:30am PDT. I hope to see you there to party with me!
Long Form
In case you missed it, I provided some early looks at Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo here on Youtube! If you’re into colorful games with a twist of story and puzzles, I think it’s worth checking out.
Personal
Currently Playing
For solo play I’ve been continuing my playthrough of Promise Mascot Agency and getting into weird shenanigans. Unfortunately with all of the PR coverage I was doing on the weekends last month and this month, solo play has been limited because of my limited energy.
IRL
We’ve been buying our groceries at international stores recently with all of the wild inflation and price gouging happening lately. If you’re struggling with prices at your main grocery store, I highly recommend seeing if you have any small local stores or farmer’s markets you can purchase food at instead. I would say the savings are upwards of $100 or more so far for our household of two.
Life continues to hit hard as I was slammed by a $1k bill to maintain my car in May. It was really rough and while I’m grateful I had the savings to cover it, it feels like yet another setback on the future.
Not everything has been that tough though — my partner and I had a nice weekend in May eating tapas and seeing the local ballet company perform. It’s amazing to see beauty through the control and precision of the human form, and reminds me that not all is dark and bleak with the world or humanity.
Picture of the Month
My partner and I did some exploring to see some of the last Spring blooms last minute in Golden Gate Park last month, and I highly recommend going to the Conservatory of Flowers if you ever get the chance!

Feel free to reply directly to this email to let me know your thoughts, or perhaps any content that you'd like to see or questions you might have. Otherwise, sending you all my sunny thoughts for the month and I look forward to writing to you in July!
