Year in Review / What’s Next
Hi!
We've reached the end of another SmartTennis season, and let's be honest - your kids have worked hard, we've coached hard, and you've supported all of it. On behalf of all the SmartTennis coaches, thank you. You helped us create sessions that weren't just "keep-them-busy" drills, but real training with structure, fun, discipline, and actual progress.
The world is changing fast, and so are our kids. Teaching them the way we were taught isn't enough anymore. We're doubling down on methods that build motivation, focus, and purpose - because a powerful mindset lasts a lot longer than a perfect forehand.
Many of you have asked for clearer insight into how your child is progressing. Fair point — and we've taken it seriously. Starting March 2026, we're rolling out a development chart that shows exactly where your child stands across the essential foundations of the game. No guesswork, no vague "they're doing great" lines — real clarity.
One quick heads-up: I'll be away from January 1st to February 20th. Yes, I disappear every now and then — think of it as my creative hibernation. I come back with better ideas... and occasionally a new drill the kids will pretend to hate.
Although I’ll miss most of the winter, based on your feedback, I’m happy to share the necessary arrangements have been made to ensure mini tennis activity restarts during this period. The Winter Term programme for Mini Tennis (ages up to 10) kicks off on January 5th. Coach Emiliano will continue running the after-school programme like the absolute machine he is, so everything stays on track.

Wishing you all a brilliant festive season. Rest up - 2026 is going to be a big year for SmartTennis, and we plan on hitting the ground running (and maybe sliding... it's tennis, after all).
See you in the new year,
Coach William / SmartTennis Team
P.S. Please remember that the last day of the Autumn 2025 After School Programme is next Thursday, December 18.
