a vibrant returning.
remembering the home of the body.
remembering the home of the body.
I write to you from my reading chair, happily sitting while the sun pours into the front window fast and bright across my flat walls. The hour pushed back makes the morning feel brief with its rush towards sunset before five.
I’ve been back now in Glasgow just about a week from my time away - returning to Chicago & Mexico. Time with family and friends I hadn’t seen since I moved here some two and half years ago and some faces I hadn’t seen for many, many years before that.
There was so often a rush of remembering and interconnection when greeting dear ones and places. Migration carries vibrancy and with it overwhelm, grief, and joy in returning to each place we find home.
I’ve found a similar feeling can often come during massage, a rush of remembering with a part of the body. It can be an unfamiliar experience to connect with and remember parts of the body that have perhaps held a lot for us.

The more I work with you all, the more integral it’s become to focus on the guided embodiment and body awareness pieces of massage therapy. “The sense of returning to the home of the body, slowly and with care”.
This was said by a facilitator of a workshop for the creation of The Latin American Cultural and Arts Centre here in Glasgow among themes of migration and home. This piece of - returning to the home of the body, has stayed with me for many months since.
november at slow down.
In the last few months I introduced the ✦ 60 min - Upper Body Slow Down ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 soothing shoulder, neck, arms, & hand massage, followed by abdominal massage to integrate the full upper body, finishing with a peaceful facial massage and gentle head massage, then to ease out of the treatment - extended guided relaxation.
It’s been an absolute joy to offer if to you, I really crafted it from the heart and from your feedback. Here are some recent client words about their experience with the new offering and why they come to massage.

I really enjoyed my time during the upper body/stomach massage, especially the extended grounding period at the end. I personally come to massage to help with stress management and body tension, so this combination of focus on the upper body (somewhere that holds a lot of tension for myself) plus the extended grounding period at the end, really put my mind and body at ease, which can be hard to achieve alone! Always feel incredibly safe and heard with Veronica and can’t wait to be back for more sessions. -AW
If you’d like to leave a review & feedback, it really helps inform me on what you’re looking for in your treatments and what I can do to better support you. It’s always available to you here.
