2024 July Musings
Blood, sweat, and excuses.
G’day:
An update plus some stuff I found interesting.
Update!
I’ve been very busy this month, writing a bunch of short stories, as well as working on the latest draft of my current novel. However, I’ve noticed that all the short stories deal with imminent death in some form or another. Hmmm.
I haven’t blogged much this month. Instead, I’ve been transferring my notes, histories, and maps into a central repository. It will streamline finding it when I’m in the middle of writing something. There’s a lot of information, so this could take a while to consolidate it all.
News
Well, there’s trouble at the Hugo Awards...AGAIN! This is getting beyond a joke.
The Alien: Romulus final trailer has just dropped and it looks quite good.
The Time Bandits remake is getting rave reviews.
Some things I learnt this month
I do a lot of research for my writing. Most of it is never ever used. I thought I’d share some stuff I learnt this month:
When Cicero was assassinated, he deliberately made it easy for his killer to cut off his head.
Singer Terence Trent D'Arby has changed his name to Sananda Francesco Maitreya.
The canals of Venice aren’t just plied by gondolas but also by sandoli.
That’s it!
