Last email I put a call out for song requests that I could make for you. Thank you to all of you who responded, they were great ideas! I managed to make 3 songs before I got waylaid with work. Apologies if I didn’t get to your suggestion - but we’ll do this again sometime I’m sure!

A Video
I used a random word generator to give me a prompt, and gave myself 90 minutes to smash out a track! It ended up being a soundtrack to a lofi computer game called Vague Fisherman where you catch ideas instead of fish…
You can try this technique too if you’re feeling stuck, use https://randomwordgenerator.com to give yourself a couple of words you like, set a time limit and have a bash at cranking something out without thinking too much!
Work
I’m currently scoring a short animation which is one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking things I’ve ever worked on - so much so that I cry a little bit every time I work on it. It’s directed by Stephen P Neary (creator of Cartoon Network Studio’s The Fungies) and he’s doing an incredible job adapting a tender true story with heart and magic. I’m not sure when it’ll be out on public release but I’m really excited to share it with you when I can.
