American Sunset
If you're like me, it can be hard to read and write in times of chaos. I haven't been doing much of either the past couple weeks, midst these heat wave, end of school, judicial collapse, budget bill, political assassination, ICE kidnapping, illegal warring times.
A couple books have cut through the noise for me, so if you're in the market:
The Most Fun We Ever Had by Clare Lombardo, best described as what I actually wanted the book Hello Beautiful to be, in that these characters actually learned things.
The Last Ferry Out Andrea Bartz, fun sapphic thriller with a cast of rich kid ex-pats I lowkey hated but also ogled at with pleasure.
