Sidyeard Coffee: March 18 - Ethiopia 🇪🇹 Guji Blend 🍫🍓
Hello Sideyard Friends,
In order to get caught up on some recent leftover green beans, this week's roast is a three part Ethiopia blend. All three are natural process coffees from the Guji region! As I write this, It was roasted about 36 hours ago and so far I'm tasting a modestly bright coffee with medium body, and notes of dark (dark) cocoa and soft fruits. The fruited aspect (with strawberry as the dominant note) comes through as the cup cools. I expect the flavors to continue to open up over the coming days, but it's already tasting great.
The origin track recommendation for the week is Feqer Endè Krar (Yebèqagnal) by Girma Bèyènè & Akalé Wubé. Ethio jazz meets Paul McCartney vocals and Steely Dan lead guitar.
Cheers,
Ryan
p.s. Bike delivery got interrupted by the rain this afternoon, and in the weirdness of transitioning to a drier form of transportation, someone may have received a 12oz bag instead of a 16oz bag. If that's you, just let us know and we'll run some extra over. Thanks!
