Hello Sideyard Friends,

The last roast of 2023 is a coffee from the Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS) in Kimalany village in Kenya. FCS uses a wet mill to process beans from hundreds of small holder farms in central Kenya. I'm tasting sparkling acidity, dark chocolate, black cherry, and brown sugar. Taking a big whiff of the brewed cup highlights the black cherry and some lighter fruited notes as well. 

The origin track recommendation for the week is a fun 70's funk number by Matata: Return to You.
