Sideyard Notes: Burundi 🇧🇮 Ewe Burundi
Hello Sideyard Friends,
This week's coffee is a dry process from Burundi. It's on the understated and less funky end of the dry processing spectrum. I don't think it's fully settled in yet and the flavor profile shifts more than average as the cup cools, but I'm enjoying the ride so far. It's a fun one to take your time with. The grounds have dried fruit and something like a blueberry muffin thing happening. The cup has a great bittersweet/dark cocoa note and the blueberry carries through in the brewed cup, but, again not in a way that's screaming for attention.Â
The origin track is one I've recommended before, but it's worth a re-up. Ewe Burundi by Amabano, from their 1987 self titled album.Â
We have a handful of extras in stock on the site.Â
Cheers,
Ryan
