Sideyard Notes: Blend Week
Hello Sideyard Friends,
We're starting December with a blend of the last three coffees–Colombia, Costa Rica, and Uganda. Dark chocolate leads the pack with almond, honey, and plum following on the palate. It's dark enough to hold it's own against milk but still has plenty of acidity left in it.
The origin track for the week is an other one off of the Uganda-born Birigwa's 1972 self titled album. This one shows his range and why the album is so hard to pin down–call it experimental folk-jazz-psych-blues. Yelewa by Birigwa.
Next Saturday, December 9 from 9am-12pm, we'll be at the Irving School Craft fair selling a few origins of bagged coffee as well as brewed coffee (while it lasts). We had a great time at last year's even and look forward to seeing some of you there again this year! Details here.
Cheers,
Ryan
p.s. Sorry, no extras this week.
