Sideyard Coffee: September 2 - Colombia 🇨🇴 Nariño 🍮
Hello Sideyard Friends,
The farms that grew this week's coffee sit on land that is 5,500-7,200 ft above sea level–some of the highest grown coffee in the world. Elevation is not helpful in isolation, but rather because of how it often is accompanied by rich, well-draining volcanic soils, consistent temperature, and slower cherry maturation.
Take a big whiff of this week's brewed coffee and you'll pick up on some caramel and tropical notes. These lead the way in the cup as well, followed by a flash of dark cherry or berry.
The origin track recommendation for the week leads with marimba, and call and response vocals: Guarapo by Rio Mira.
Cheers,
Ryan
Extras: we have a handful of extra 12oz bags and a couple 8oz on hand from last week's roast. https://sideyard.coffee/pages/single-bags
