Sideyard Coffee: May 28 - Ethiopia Yirgacheffe πͺπΉ π + 3 extras
Hello Sideyard Friends,
When the weather is cool, as it's been these last few days, it's tempting to drink one's coffee at mouth-scalding temperatures. Also, it can be hard to wait (at least for me). However, if you can catch it in that perfect spot between super hot and back-into-the-microwave-it-goes you'll pick up on much more flavor nuance, especially with this week's roast. A whiff of the dry grounds also helps with what to look for in the cup. Flavors include lemon, lime, and at times a hint of berry in the finish.
Ethiopian jazz pianist Emahoy TseguΓ©-Maryam GΓ©brou's The Homeless Wanderer is this week's origin track recommendation. It's a laid back, flitting and floating solo piano composition fit for a rainy day and a slightly floral cup of coffee. If you like this first track the rest of the album will also go down easy.
This email also serves as your June payment reminder. As ever, I'll assume continuation unless I hear otherwise.
