Sideyard Coffee: May 21- Flores ๐ฎ๐ฉ ๐
Hello Sideyard Friends,
This week we're drinking a coffee grown on farms in close proximity to the Wawo Muda volcano on the Indonesian island of Flores. Volcanic soils are often quite nutrient dense, perhaps due to their relative youthfulness! It's roasted darker than most of our recent selections and the main flavor to look for is spiced cocoa. It's reminding me of some Central America cups, despite the rustic Indonesian note.ย
I stumbled uponย a great compilation of Indonesia psychedelic rock and funk from the 1970s. It's one great track after another, but Mobil Tua by Koes Plus stood out. It's a screamer, literally... "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA." Turn it up, if you're into funky 1970s rock.
Cheers,
Ryan
p.s. I have two extras12oz bags this week. $12 each if you're reading this.ย
