Sideyard Coffee: July 23 - El Colo πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡» + πŸ‡¨πŸ‡΄

Hello Sideyard Friends,

This week's roast is comprised of the green beans that were left from two recent roasts. El Salvador and Colombia. Hence the El/Colo label–not a new country, just shorthand for this week's blend. As such, it should taste familiar.. nuttiness, dark and milk chocolate tones, and a touch of citrus. In all my reading and conversations about roasting, I'm certain I've never come across these two origins mentioned as prime candidates for a blend... but you know what... it tastes great.Β

I personally missed having an African coffee in the mix in July but we're planning to make it up in August. We have three African coffees on order (Burundi/Ethiopia/Tanzania) and at least two of them should be here in time to make next month's rotation.Β

Next week is the fifth Friday in July, so it's an off week for deliveries.Β I'll send an August payment reminder next week and try to dig up an origin track for your listening enjoyment.Β

Cheers,

Ryan
