Sideyard Coffee: July 22 - West Java ๐ฎ๐ฉ + Decaf in stock + No Deliveries Next Week
Hello Sideyard Friends,
Usually, by the time I've discovered how much I like a recently roasted coffee, lots of other roasters have as well and the green is fully sold out. The West Java from a few months back was beguiling enough that I went looking for more and got lucky this time! It's as good as I remember it, maybe better. It's a semi-washed coffee with notes of dried cherry, cola, tobacco, and citrus. It's working great as a Japanese style pour over iced coffee too.ย
We have a new decaf on hand and it's great. The importer utilizes what they call the Swiss Water process (in marketing parlance) to decaffeinate their coffees. In short, it's a chemical-free process that uses water, time, and temperature to remove 99.9% of the caffeine. The coffee is a blend of a dry process Ethiopia and a wet hulled Sumatraโa classic Moka Java profile with notes of caramel, cooked fruit, a hint of cinnamon, and some bittersweet roast notes. We have a handful of 8oz bags in stock on the website. It's a little bit more expensive due to the decaffeination process, but 100% worth it for a truly great decaf.ย
July has five Fridays, which means no deliveries next week.
Cheers,
Ryan
