Sideyard Coffee: January 14 - PNG 🇵🇬 + Colombia 🇨🇴 Blend

Hello Sideyard Friends,

This week we've roasted up the remainder of two recent coffees–the natural Papua New Guinea from back in October and the more recent washed process Colombia. The nutty and chocolate Colombia tones down the wilder stewed-fruits of the Papua New Guinea, without covering up it up completely. I taste the PNG first and then, as the cup cools, the almond/hazelnut of the Colombia really pops. The origin track of the week, Glitter, is by Papua New Guinea-born future soul singer songwriter Ngaiire. Even without an understanding of the specifics of PNG's social/political struggles, one gets a feel for Ngaiire's indictment of the ruling class and push for equity.
