Sideyard Coffee: January 13 - Five Origin Blend + Stickers
Hello Sideyard Friends,
This week's roast is a catch-up blend of five different East African and Central American coffees. I think it turned out great. I say think because I've got a head cold that is limiting any sort of nuanced understanding of the flavor profile. It's coming across as bitter then juicy... which is generic enough to describe just about every non-dark-roast speciality coffee?
Like a toy tumbling out of your cereal box or unwrapping a golden ticket in a chocolate bar, this week's coffee comes with a couple Sideyard stickers. That's probably overselling it a bit, but do feel free to turn them in for a factory tour, especially if you're not a sticker person. :)
The origin track for the week is Tokoliana by the experimental electronic music collective KOKOKO! from Kinshasa, Congo. It's an alive and upbeat track to help combat this grisaille weather we're having.
Cheers,
Ryan

**I know just enough French to be annoying about it. The word grisaille always comes to mind when we're having the kind of weather that is best described by it: gray/monochrome/gloomy/dull.
