Sideyard Coffee: February 11 - Peru π΅πͺ π + a few extras
Hello Sideyard Friends,
This week's coffee is from the Satipo province of Peru. Located between the Andes and the rainforest, the region is also known as theΒ ceja de selva, or, βjungle entrance." Evidently the asymmetric topography contributes to incredible biodiversity and different types of airflow that help the coffee shrubs flourish.Β
And flourish they do!Β If you can imagine a dark chocolate bar with toasted almonds and orange peel, you'll be pretty close to what you can expect from this coffee. The grounds are quite aromatic and definitely line up with the cup profile, so take a good whiff before brewing!
This week's origin track is Tomorrow, from the Beatlesesque Peruvian rock band We All Together. It should especially delight the McCartney fans in the crowd.Β
Cheers,
Ryan
p.s.Β We have one extra 8oz bag of last week's Ethiopia and a few bags of this week's Peru available for pickup.
