Sideyard Coffee: August 19 - Kenya 🇰🇪 Iyego Co-op 🍯
Hello Sideyard Friends,
This week's coffee is from Kenya. It starts out brighter than average and as it cools it mellows into notes of plum, honey, and chocolate. The Iyego Farmers Coop Society that processed this coffee serves more than 600 small holder farms in Murang'a county in east central Kenya. It's a region that is heavily dependent on coffee exports and has been known for very high quality speciality coffee for a while now. I don't source a lot of Kenyan coffee, mostly because it's quite a bit more expensive than other origins, but I'm always on the lookout.
This week's origin track recommendation is the upbeat electronic/pop Huff + Puff by Just a Band.
Cheers,
Ryan
