Sideyard Coffee: April 16 - Guatemala Ayarza + 1000 bags 🎉
Hello Sideyard Friends,
This week's coffee was grown by a producer named Francisco Najera in the Arayaza region of Guatemala. His farm is located near a volcanic lake in a remote region and oh my does it look picturesque on Google Maps. There are a bunch of legends attached the lake as well--mermaids that take one male swimmer every year, a white rock of a woman who didn't obey Jesus, etc.
The brewed cup is an easy drinker with a rounded mouthfeel, good body, and some caramel/nuttiness coming through. Not as crazy as some, but nothing to shake a stick at either.Â
This week marks 1000 bags of Sideyard Coffee! Whether it was one bag or four score, I appreciate your support and the part you've played in that number! Here's a Guatemalan marimba band cover of Michael Jackson's Thriller to celebrate.
Cheers,
Ryan
*I know I shouldn't like it but I do. I trust that his estate isn't seeing a dime of this streaming revenue.Â
