Rwanda 🇷🇼 Rulindo
Hello Sideyard Friends,
This week’s coffee is from the Rulindo district in Northern Provence, Rwanda. Rwanda produces roughly 20,000 metric tons of coffee per year (compared to Brazil’s 66 million metric tons), which makes it a little hard to source. Scarcity aside, the quality is often top notch, with over 95% of it qualifying as speciality grade. This week’s lot is a small, dense, high-grown, washed process coffee. It took a little extra wrangling in the roaster but turned out great.
I’m tasting a lively citrus, lemonade, and raspberry cup with subtle spice and black tea undertones. It’s a nice shift in tone from the last few darker roasts. There’s one extra in stock.
The origin track recommendation is Sara by The Good Ones.
Cheers,
Ryan
