Rwanda 🇷🇼 Gitwe Peaberry
Hello Sideyard Friends,
This week’s coffee is from the Gitwe washing station in the Nyamasheke District of Rwanda. Kenya and Ethiopia get most of the coffee press in East Africa (and for good reason), but I continue to love what’s coming out of Rwanda and Burundi lately. This week’s coffee is a good example of some of what’s unique about the region. I’m tasting cinnamon, cocoa, brown sugar, and baked fruits. It has a black tea-like tannic finish. Also, don’t forget to check out those peaberry beans—so round and so so small!
We have a handful of extras this week.
The origin track of the week is My Wife is as Beautiful as a Sunset by The Good Ones.
Cheers,
Ryan
