Kenya 🇰🇪 Tatu Estate
Hello Sideyard Friends,
This week’s coffee is from the Tatu Coffee Estate in central Kenya. Like many farms in Kenya, much of Tatu is planted with the famed SL-28 varietal. SL-28 was selected back in the 1930s mainly for its drought resistance and excellent yields.
In the cup, I’m tasting almond, black currant, fig, and apple. Look for the sweeter notes after it cools. It’s full-bodied and reasonably bright.
This week’s origin track is another one from pop/hip-hop/electronica producer Kabochi Gitau (aka Kabeaushé). Here’s the songwhip link for their track Intolerance.
Cheers,
Ryan
p.s. Two spares this week.
