Blend 🇰🇪🇳🇮🇨🇩 Week
Hello Sideyard Friends,
This week’s coffee is a blend of the three most recent coffees–Kenya, Nicaragua, and D.R. Congo. For perhaps selfish reasons, I’ve come to really enjoy blend week. Not only does it clear the decks for a new suite of single origins, it’s my chance to roast these particular coffees a second time. I get to pull up a previous roast profile in the roasting software and have a much clearer picture of how the coffee is going to respond in the roaster. It’s less stressful and often leads to a better overall roast as a result of lessons learned on the first go around. Anyhow, that’s what we’ve got this week—three second chances on three coffees that I think were in pretty good shape already. Blended together it’s a bright and well rounded roast with all the September tasting notes wrapped into one.
