Santorini passages, a tribute to songbirds, artful evening residency series, art classes & more
Hello friends and collectors,
There’s been a lot of quiet (and not-so-quiet) activity in the studio lately — new paintings, new prints, a freshly opened shop, and a few upcoming ways to see me work in person. Here’s what’s new.
New Work
Santorini Passages
My favorite new work at the moment is this new watercolor painting, Santorini Passages (Emboreio).

This passageway and door are in old Emboreio, Santorini — where my grandfather is from. Every time I visit, I wander these quiet, winding paths. I often find myself painting the same doors over the years, noticing how they age: a new coat of paint, thicker bougainvillea vines, subtle shifts in color and texture.
The village was originally built in a twisting, maze-like layout to protect against pirates, with the passageways leading back to the kastelli walls — a detail that makes walking through it feel both intimate and historical.
This piece is currently showing in the Watercolor Society of North Carolina’s online Associate Show.

Songbird linocut prints
I’ve also been spending time carving these two familiar visitors: a tufted titmouse and a Carolina chickadee.

I love watching these little characters in the yard and at the feeder. Over the past few years, I’ve been converting more of my yard into native meadow habitat, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to see the bird and pollinator populations grow alongside it. These prints feel like small portraits of that everyday joy.
They are available now in my shop along with other linocut art →.
The Online Store is Open!
My online store is officially live!
You’ll find fine art prints (with free shipping!), original linocut prints, and more.

Artful Evenings at the JB Duke Hotel
I’m excited to share that I was selected for the Artful Evenings Residency Series at the JB Duke Hotel, presented in partnership with the Durham Art Guild.
Guests are invited to observe, engage, and experience the evolution of an artist’s work in real time. I’ll be drawing and painting live in the Lobby Lounge, focusing on gesture drawings of people in the space — capturing movement, posture, and fleeting moments.
Come get yourself sketched, or just stop by to watch!
