School is back and the city seems to be kicking back into high gear. This week we’ve got 55 events for you in the next 7 days alone, with another 62 in the following fortnight.

I want to particularly call out The Many vs. The Money Summit this weekend, which is a response to Mark Carney’s investment summit slash billionaire extravaganza next week. Ahead of 200 CEOs of some of the worst companies in the world descending on our city to bid for Canada’s public resources behind closed doors, a coalition of anti-war, Indigenous, and environmental groups are convening a weekend of counterprogramming. This features a (unfortunately already full) keynote on Saturday, a full day of teach-ins and a concert on Sunday, followed by a protest at the actual summit Monday evening. You can get teach-in tickets here, and of course all are welcome at the rally at Nathan Philips Square and subsequent march to Bloor to disrupt the billionaire ball.

We refuse to let the global 1% descend on our city unopposed.
