🌀 Shared Ground May Happenings
Is it just us, or is springtime secretly a really hard season?
Even as the weather warms and the plants begin to blossom, many folx in the Shared Ground community have been wrestling with overcommitment, burnout and conflict. With so much liberation and repair work to be done, our open hearts are repeatedly tempted to take it all on.
But over and over again, we’re reminded that our time and capacity is finite, and that we’re just one small part of a beautiful and terrible system lurching towards wholeness. Only by acknowledging our parasites (internal narratives like saviorism and impostor syndrome) and predators (external forces like the housing crisis, the climate crisis, and structural oppression) can we come to terms with our actual power - and claim it.
And so, despite the messiness, that's what we're doing: moving ahead, slowly but surely, confident that this is the work our world needs. Read on to hear how the Shared Ground community is claiming its power as we head into spring, and how you can play a part!

📅 Member Events
Speaking of our members, they’ve been hard at work creating SO 👏🏾 MANY 👏🏼 OPPORTUNITIES for you to find wholeness in our space these days.
Microdose Mondays, Queer Partner Dance with Kaleidoscope Creatures, Open Lounge Fridays with PlayHaus Bakery, Couples Connection Dinner and Arts experience, Holisma Mass by Fractal Praxis, and Potted Peace Project’s Spring Black Market are just SOME of the incredible member-run events happening in the space over the next few weeks.

🌱 Community Garden Party + Potluck on Sunday!
Want to get your hands dirty, beautify our property, and connect with fellow Shared Grounders? We’re having a landscaping workday this Sunday from 3 to 6pm to clear out some invasives and seed pollinator plants. Feel free to bring garden tools or compost if you have them - or just bring yourself.
If indoor socializing is more your thing, join us after the garden party for our monthly First Sunday potluck from 6 to 8:30. Bring a dish to share and any friends you’d like to invite into the space!
