Happy Tuesday! Hope you had fun out and about last week checking out the Castro Night Market and Mr. S Customer Appreciation Party.
This week is the start of IML in Chicago. Sending luck and best wishes out to Tracii Chambers Moore as they compete for the IML 2025 title.
Coming up this week we have SOMA Nights on Thursday, Time Out at the Eagle on Friday and the East Bay Pup Mosh on Saturday at the White Horse Inn. Hope to see you out there this weekend.
It's starting to feel a lot like summer out there. One of my favorite things to do when things get warm is to get out of SF and enjoy the Russian River Resort area. I can't think of anything more fun than catching some sun and going swimming in my pup gear with some puppy friends.
If that sounds like fun to you, I'd like to invite you to join me for a tentative and informal weekend in Guerneville, Friday, July 11 through Sunday, July 13. I've wanted to do a puppy get-away weekend on the Russian River for quite some time and my hope is that this informal gathering might be the start of that endeavor.
You said tentative and informal, what does that mean? It means that if you choose to join for the weekend, you are responsible for booking your own lodging, transportation, meals, etc. There are no planned events, just an opportunity to hang out together in a resort-like atmosphere. I intend to incorporate some pup/pet play throughout the weekend where possible but it is not guaranteed. I will try to coordinate some low-effort social events like pool/river time, a hike, dinner, etc.
Speaking of lodging, I plan to stay at The R3 Hotel. They have a pool, a bar and restaurant onsite. There are several other options nearby (West Sonoma Inn, The Woods (clothing optional resort), The Highlands etc.). These are all excellent places to stay and within walking distance of The R3 and downtown Guerneville.
