Sewing Circle: Tesla Protests, Rally 4/5, and a Printable Guide
Protesting, boycotting, calling reps, speaking up: every bit of it helps. Even when it doesn’t have the result we want, it lets others know we’re out there. That makes it easier for them to join and easier to keep acting.
Ongoing: Tesla Takedown - at Watertown and Boston showrooms and around the country.
The Tesla protests are getting news coverage and seem to be having an effect on Tesla stock. There are ongoing protests every Saturday at Tesla dealerships, including ones local to the Boston area. Check out Tesla Takedown for more information.
Upcoming: April 5th Day of Action / People’s Veto Day - in DC and elsewhere TBD
50501 and the Women’s March are working together on a big mobilization effort for April 5th. I haven’t seen a Boston protest yet, but put it on your calendars now. Keep checking See You In The Streets for more.
Sharing and Thinking Together: Guante’s Action Zine (and a Massachusetts Remix)
Kyle Tran Myhre (“Guante”), an activist and poet in Minnesota, has put together a one-page foldable zine “to Share with Friends and Neighbors Asking ‘What Do We DO?’” The zine, "I Didn’t Believe in the Fight; the Fight Made Me a Believer”, is available as a one-page PDF for printing on his website. (Learn how to fold a single page into a booklet at zineopolis.)
With his permission, I’ve swapped out the Minnesota resources for some Massachusetts links. That version is available here. Feel free to print and share it!
I also strongly recommend the One Million Experiments / Making a Plan zine as an in-depth exercise in thinking about one’s own ability, capacity, and interests for activism.
Take some time to think about where and how you’ll take your own actions, and remember: You are Not Alone.
