Can you believe it? It's our 10th anniversary! 

We started with a dream and determination to make SE London's energy system greener and fairer.  With 11 solar arrays, 3 existing and 5 new LED sites on the way, over 4000 fuel poor households helped and a new retrofit service for homeowners, we are so proud of what we have built together. So, please join us Tuesday Oct 8th for our AGM and birthday celebration! 

Not ones to rest on our laurels, we're looking for new sites for solar and LED for feasibility studies. If you know a site that meets the criteria listed below, please get in touch ASAP so we can continue to decarbonise SE London. 

And, If you can't join us for a celebratory razzle, we've got lots of informative, fun, free events coming up this month and voluntary opportunities listed below.

Do you run or are connected to  a community center?

We have two offers that may be of interest to you: 

1) We are applying for funds for feasibility studies for solar on community buildings in SE London. If you run or are connected to a community building in SE London that would be interested in solar please get in touch with Axel, axel@selce.org.uk this week. The funding window closes on Oct 11. 

2) Selce is offering personalized free light audits to 10 Lewisham community buildings to help reduce their electricity bills and carbon emissions. As part of the audit we will:

• assess the building’s lighting systems

• prepare a financial model and report

• support with quotes and tendering

• support to access grant funding, when available

In order to qualify for this limited offer buildings need to have a minimum of 90 fluorescent and/or halogen fittings and be in use more than 18 hours per week. Register your interest

Can you help us tell your Selce story?

We are looking for volunteers in three new roles in the period October to December. Varied time commitment and flexibility to suit you:

We are particularly looking for members to allow us to publish their story and motivations for joining Selce through our website, photography and in a video. If you are a Selce investor and you want to help motivate others to invest in local climate action, we want to hear from you.
