Hi
I hope you’re enjoying the longer days, and managing to stay warm and dry.
I kicked off 2026 with a message of trepidation, but also of hope, and love for the amazing community in South East London we are so lucky to be part of.

Our Response to the Warm Homes Plan
Published on 21 January, The Government’s much-anticipated Warm Homes Plan sets out plans for funding home energy upgrades between now and 2030. If delivered, it will play a big role in reducing fuel poverty and in tackling the climate emergency – but there is much more still to do, and the community energy sector will have a big role to play in that. How to Deal with Damp, Mould and Condensation

Selce’s 2nd LED Lighting Share Offer Imminent
Our sixth share offer - and our second to cover LED lighting - is set to launch soon.
Why do we do LED lighting for schools & community buildings?
LEDs result in a ~70% cut in energy use for lighting, significant carbon savings, as well as improved well-being for students and staff.
LEDs can be installed without many of the planning challenges which can affect solar.
The results may surprise you: looking at two previous examples, LEDs are now saving Waterside Academy £8,500 per year. For Edmund Waller Primary in Lewisham, the saving is an amazing £19,426 per year.
