Just four days left to invest!
Since the launch of Selce’s Share Offer 3 at the beginning of November we’ve raised an amazing £216,000. Huge thanks to all our members for making new investments and spreading the word to friends and family.
It's been a busy month…
One of our most successful awareness-raising activities was the What On Earth Can I do? event held on November 14th. In front of a packed meeting room we showcased an inspiring collection of community projects from the plastic-free SWOP shop in Lee to the Flight Free UK group encouraging people not to fly in 2020. Naturally, we ended the evening by introducing the audience to Selce’s work and the merits of investing in Share Offer 3. At the end of November, we managed to get some great coverage in the South London Press with our Pollution Patrol project to clamp down on air pollution in Lewisham and Greenwich. The initiative reflects growing local concern about the impact of car pollution, particularly on children. An ‘Engines Off, So We Don’t Cough’ banner made for the event has now found a new home outside the John Stainer Primary School in Brockley. Finally, we’d like to thank you for your ongoing support of all Selce's activities and we wish you a truly solar-tastic year in 2020.

We need to raise £260,000 for four brand new solar sites including St Luke's Church in Downham, Thamesmere Leisure Centre in Thamesmead, Coldharbour Leisure Centre in Eltham and the solar-powered Aluna Moon Clock (a community artwork hosted by the Intercontinental Hotel in Greenwich).
These solar arrays will power the buildings and art installation with clean, green, energy that's matched or below their current energy charges. Any surplus income we make is used to pay back our investors and support our social impact initiatives. These include our Energy Cafes, Future Fit Homes Initiative, Solar Roller and other fuel poverty alleviation projects across South East London.
Selce recently celebrated five years of helping to strengthen local communities and we've picked up three national awards along the way. You can find out more about our previous solar sites here.
