A few updates on support available to SE London residents before mid-March, to help increase comfort, bring down energy bills and relieve some of the pressure during the winter months for you and your community.

Residential Solar Feasibility Offering Coming Soon!

Want to understand if solar is feasible for your property and have guidance along the way from your own independent solar guru?

Generating power from your own rooftop with Solar PV can be of huge financial and environmental benefit for your household. However, navigating the solar market can, be time consuming and confusing. Since solar is a 20-30 year investment, it pays to get it right the first time! Our solar experts can help you understand the right system for your needs and where to go to ensure a high quality installation from a reputable installation partner.

More Help to Love your Loft - Insulate Easily

We’ve increased our Love Loft insulation grant to up to £500 until mid-march. This increase from £200 means that if you don’t already have loft insulation, this could:

  • cover roughly half the cost

  • reduce your annual bills by up to £400 per year

  • reduce payback times on your bills to approximately 1 year

The Love Lofts programme is only running for one more month, so do get in touch ASAP. www.selce.org.uk/lovelofts

Grant Updates for Homeowners:

The Great British Insulation Scheme is now open to all homeowners, which is exciting for households with an income above £31,000. The grant can help households that live in houses with EPC D-G and in council tax bands A-D access as single insulation measure, either completely free of charge or with a partial contribution, depending on household income - find out more about current grants.

Community Solar: we have done preliminary surveys of buildings across South-East London and have identified the following buildings as being feasible for solar arrays built by the community for the community - find out more.

Community Lighting Audits: Selce is offering personalised free light audits to 10 Lewisham community buildings to help reduce their electricity bills and carbon emissions - find out more.

These free workshops will take you on a tour of energy efficiency upgrades. We’ll cover common issues caused by poor building stock, the improvements that can be made to address these & the steps that can be taken to access available funding and support.

Our resident expert will also be on hand to answer your questions on the practical elements of upgrading your home, offering 1:1 advice.
